3 HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

Hazard description:

Xn - Harmful, F+ - Extremely flammable

R20 Harmful by inhalation.

R36/37/38 Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin.

R42/43 May cause sensitisation by inhalation and skin contact

R52/53 Harmful to aquatic organisms, may cause long term adverse effects in the aquatic environment

R64 May cause harm to breastfeed babies

Contains isocyanates

Pressurised container - protect from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50ºC. Do not pierce or burn, even after use.

Do not spray on a naked flame or any incandescent material.

Keep away from sources of ignition - no smoking.

Keep out of the reach of children.

4 FIRST AID MEASURES


Skin contact: Remove mechanically if cured. If liquid wipe off excess then wash thoroughly with soap and water.

Eye contact: Carefully wipe away the excess. Wash with water and seek urgent medical attention.

Inhalation: Remove to fresh air and if necessary seek medical advice. Symptoms can occur several hours after exposure, therefore medical observation for at least 48 hours after the accident.

Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. For uncured foam remove excess to permit breathing then seek urgent medical assistance. For cured foam seek medical advice if discomfort occurs

5 FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES

Extinguishing Media:
CO2 spray, sand and extinguishing powder. Do not use water.

Additional Information: Burning produces dense acrid fumes and smoke, which are hazardous to health. Inhalation should be avoided. Fire fighters should wear self contained breathing apparatus in addition to protective clothing.

6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Allow the product to cure then remove mechanically into a suitable container pending disposal. Do not flush or allow the uncured product to get into sewers / surface or ground water.

7 HANDLING AND STORAGE

Do not expose the aerosol canister to temperatures above 50ºC. Protect from direct sunlight and away from sources of ignition - do not smoke.

Store canisters vertically upright in a well-ventilated area. Keep out of reach of children.

8 EXPOSURE CONTROLS AND PERSONAL PROTECTION

Wear impervious protective clothing. Use eye and hand protection. Do not inhale fumes. Use respiratory protection in badly ventilated areas.

During installation do not eat, smoke or drink. Do not touch face or eyes with contaminated fingers. Wash hands immediately after use.

10 STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

Stable and unreactive during normal handling and use. The canister is pressurised. Do not expose to impact damage. Do not expose the canister to temperatures in excess of 50ºC.

11 TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Acute toxicity;

Eye: Irritating effect

Sensitization:
Sensitization possible through inhalation and skin contact.

Do not allow product to reach ground water, water course or sewerage system.

Danger to drinking water if even small quantities leak to the ground.

13 DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS

Empty can completely. Do not puncture. The can must not be punctured or burned even after use. Keep out of reach of children even when empty. Cured foam may be disposed of as normal waste.
